Catenary system materials for local mass transit:
The product portfolio encompasses the entire range of supporting structures and tensioning materials, insulators, structural elements for supporting points, holders for contact and messenger wires, clamps, tensioners and other components.
Steel masts:
These masts have been developed by SPL Powerlines Germany and are made from U-shaped sectional steel. They can be used for a variety of situations and are a very affordable option. Switch actuators, switch rods and retensioning weight columns can all be built into the mast.
GRP masts:
The innovative GRP masts are made from non-conductive composite fibres in an intelligent lightweight structure. The GRP material is completely non-conductive, enabling overhead catenaries to be constructed without insulators. The product complies with all construction analysis stipulations in regard of strength and rigidity, and exceeds the standing times of conventional masts due extreme corrosion and weather resistance.
Cantilevers:
The cantilevers serve as supports for suspension cables and catenary wires. Special analytical programmes are used to determine the correct type of cantilever required based on the relevant support point and track information.
Section insulators:
Section insulators are built into the overhead catenary systems to divide the entire system into switching sections. Current is fed into the catenary wires via cables.
Conductor rails:
Conductor rail systems deliver the optimum power supply, reliably and safely. The system is adaptable to customer requirements and can be put together flexibly using a ‘construction set’ system. Superior quality materials, low wear and highly effective corrosion resistance guarantee a long working life.
